Tbf I think almost everyone buying the old games at those prices knows about emulation, they're doing it to collect stuff or for the nostalgia. That doesn't make it worth $500, of course, but collecting things is always kinda illogical

Collection for the sake of collection is fine. If someone wants to spend 250 for Pokémon emerald I won't stop them. But as amazing as that game is, I don't want to pay that price just to play it.
