Excuse me but who is responsible for releasing an update for Goldeneye 007 Reloaded in 2026?!?? The servers went offline years ago, and the dev studio went bust in 2013. And yes, I played it just a few months ago so this is new somehow.

360 games get updates for network compatibility and the console itself has a cache of only a certain number of those updates. if you've played some other games or cleared that cache, you'll get an old update again when you launch the game.

I actually checked my recently played 360 games and I last played it only a month ago. I’ve only played one two other games in that time, with the exception of a few 360 titles on my Series X.

Yeah so am I. The only games I’ve played in between then and now on the console are The Testament of Sherlock Holmes and PGR4. Very odd.

It’s obviously gotta be a glitch because 1) it triggers twice, once when I load in and if I try to go to multiplayer for local play, and 2) because Activision isn’t legally allowed to do 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 with the game since they don’t have rights to the IP anymore. That’s why the multiplayer for all 4, technically 5, of their 007 games was shut down, since IO Interactive has the rights.

Yeah it's definitely not actually a new update, it's something repeatedly triggering the standard network update for some reason

Yeah, because it’s just a blank update without text, so i would assume it was the update to shut everything down. Something 𝘤𝘰𝘰𝘭 though is that the old online leaderboards still exist for the MI6 Ops solo mode, a perfectly preserved snapshot of the last time the board was active.
