Zelda as a franchise simply doesn't work if it's not a love story. Skyward sword is the best game in the franchise for this reason while twilight princess is the worst.

^^Twilight princess is one of my favorite games. But Zelda is on screen for like 3 minutes, and has zero connection with Link. It could've been better than it was
