The fact that we successfully bullied EA out of all that nonsense with CFB ๐˜ข๐˜ฏ๐˜ฅ out of shutting down the Garden Warfare servers proves what Iโ€™ve said for a long time/ ๐™’๐™€ ๐™‰๐™€๐™€๐˜ฟ ๐™๐™Š ๐˜ฝ๐™๐™‡๐™‡๐™” ๐˜ฝ๐™„๐™‚ ๐˜พ๐™Š๐™ˆ๐™‹๐˜ผ๐™‰๐™„๐™€๐™Ž ๐™ƒ๐˜ผ๐™๐˜ฟ๐™€๐™

Hot take: Iโ€™d rather them stop making games if it was going to be the same quality as Unbound. I thought they were back in the zone when Heat turned out to be good but Unbound was just so bad. Everything after Most Wanted 2012 was such a mixed bag in terms of quality

Not saying I wouldnโ€™t want the series to keep going, but after the 7th gen the games were never the same

While I agree that unbound was garbage, not making the series at all will never give them the opportunity to make a good one again. Fans not buying the series doesnโ€™t mean they donโ€™t like the series, it means they donโ€™t like the game and how it has strayed. I also really didnโ€™t like heat. Iโ€™m a black box era fan so most games past rivals were just too far off the path. If anything Iโ€™d rather them sell the IP and let another studio remake the classics or try another one with redesigned control.

Why are you acting like itโ€™s never coming back? Either theyโ€™re waiting a few years for the reputation to die down since they ruined the franchise or they are waiting a few years to sell it off. Yโ€™all are acting like itโ€™s permanently over which is obviously not the case.

Thatโ€™s the thing, no one knows what the case is. They could quite literally keep the IP and never make another game or they could do what youโ€™re suggesting.

EA likes money and the brand name is worth something. I canโ€™t see them sitting on it and not doing anything with it, even if that does mean weโ€™re going to get more GRID games now or something. Heck, they sold off Zuma a while ago for the same reason

Iโ€™m just saying that, if EA was going to continue to micromanage the development to all hell and ruin the product a s a result, then Iโ€™d much rather Criterion spend their efforts on something good instead. And more games of diminishing quality would have soured the series name even further, making it harder to sell or revive it later.

Itโ€™s dogshit sorry bro. Play 05s Most Wanted on 360 and youโ€™ll see what a legit NFS game is supposed to feel like.

Itโ€™s not crazy. Unbound is a legitimately poorly made game with a weird style that doesnโ€™t fit the series and a quite poor car roster. Not to mention the open world feels pointless and dull

Itโ€™s weird that people would rather a series continue to release terrible games for them to waste money on than nothing at all. NFS was becoming as bad as Call of Duty by the time Unbound came out.

I donโ€™t think itโ€™s unreasonable to want them to make the games and make them well. Weโ€™ve become accustomed to mediocrity when thatโ€™s not the only option.

You do realize that significantly lowering the standard for what people are asked to pay $70 for is a ๐˜ฃ๐˜ข๐˜ฅ ๐˜ต๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ฏ๐˜จ, yeah?
