Really disappointed that Larian admitted to using generative AI in their games and then made the genius move to insult the consumer for being upset. I hope they get their shit together.

It wasn’t generative AI. That’s just misinformation. They blatantly said that they’re using AI to do the shit they don’t want to do and that no one on the team is being replaced.

When farmers started using tractors, I’m glad my grandfather decided to keep using real labor. It did put his million dollar farm out of business, and now my family is in generational poverty, but at least he didnt take the jobs away from those farmhands!

You omitted that it's also concept art and "ideation," things that actually influence the development of the game and are pretty bad to outsource to The Plagiarism and Slop Machine

I didn’t omit it purposely at least it I just didn’t know the concept art part as it wasn’t mentioned in the video I watched on the topic and I haven’t had the time to read any articles yet but that definitely is a different thing that I do have more of an issue with

With that knowledge I’ll just be deleting that defense of the use as I don’t want to defend that I was fine with a defense with it just being place holder text and stuff for internal PowerPoints that was my view but not concept art and things that do need actual creative forces behind it

Games are art and should be an expression of human creativity and ideas. Turning everything into recycled slop that can only churn through pre-existing ideas is a race to the bottom.
