Are those analogue clone consoles worth it? I’m a stickler for original hardware but also wanna play on modern tv. I’m willing to make an exception this time. Is there one for GameCube? Or just up to n64?

The Analogue systems are as high end as third party hardware gets. they aren't emulation at all. If you have lots of original cartridges, it's worth it to get a pocket or a 3D. Otherwise, save yourself hundreds of dollars and get an Anbernic or something. No GameCube and there won't be for a long time.

The original consoles can play on modern tvs just fine. Analogue consoles are pretty good but 100% more expensive than just buying an original n64 and an AV to HDMI upscaler.

True, theres a pretty wide range of upscalers in price and quality. But you don’t need anything more than like a $50 one to just play it on a modern tv and have it look decent. Buying an analogue 3d for the sole reason to play on a modern tv is like buying an RPG for a squirrel problem. Like yeah, you solved the problem but it’s way overkill. But if you care about overclocking and a 4k resolution wrapper on a n64 game then absolutely the analogue is best. A good 4k upscaler is like $750 alone

Agreed, and I would say it's also worth it if you're a nostalgic person and have old carts with childhood save data on them. Fun to revisit the memories without the old hardware hassle.
