Im so tired of trying to talk to someone and they pull out their phone and start texting someone else and stop responding to me while I’m in the middle of talking. Gen Z really is just a bunch of iPad kids

I thankfully haven’t come across anyone like that yet, but I legit feel guilty sometimes even looking at a quick notification in case it’s something important

Yeah it sucks when people do this. Some of my non gen z family does this too though. I think certain people are just not wired for reciprocity for some reason, idk

Hey, so people only do this to signal they don’t want to talk to you or if they dont respect you. Everyone knows it’s rude so if it’s done it’s intentional unless maybe the person is neurodivergent.

idk, if theyre doing it all the time its just kinda rude cause I am assuming most people wouldn’t want someone to do that while they were talking. but yeah idk, sometimes it seems like they don’t even realize they’re doing it

Yeah and I don’t mind a quick check cause I do that too but people just full on start having a whole other conversation through text and stop responding to me talking right in front of them

Dude all you said was that you do this when you’re uninterested in conversation. That does not exclusively mean when you’re talking to assholes so no, I didn’t assume that. Personally I think passive aggression like this is a pretty dick move so I assume people who use it are assholes
