tough to handle but probably true statement: that makes it less bad. means there's nothing you could have done differently and it was always going to end in a breakup, so it's better that it happened as a breakup and not a divorce.

Yeah. Definitely couldn’t have done anything different at that point. And much better than a divorce, the whole thing just feels foggy
