Am I the asshole for being annoyed with my friend who’s going through a rough patch? She’s a very close friend, and she’s been depressed lately which I of course respect and am trying to be supportive, but it’s been kinda rough lately

She’s been avoiding me, and she said it’s not bc of anything about me, and ofc her needing time alone isn’t the issue either. If she wants to avoid me that’s fine. People need space! The issue is when we do interact, she’s kinda been a jerk. Like, she’s obviously annoyed at me, or just really short, like idk how to explain it but it’s. Just mean

Like I wanna be supportive but also, we don’t talk unless I go out of my way to check in on her, and if she does initiate it’s normally tense. Idk I’m trying my best to be a good friend but I’ve also been having a rough time.
