Plz everyone share their favorite Bible verse or lesson from god. I’m truly going on a journey finding him and would love to hear stories or verses and where to start.

He always cares about you and will always love you. Even when you think no one else will.

I like the part where he loves me. God owes us nothing, but WANTS to be with you, and has since the beginning. Additionally I finding it comforting to know that he has/will guide me along my way, and I like to look back at my life and see the “coincidences” that brought me to where I am.

One of the best lessons I’ve learned from God is about how He gives you the things you pray for. If you ask for patience or wisdom, I used to think that it’d just… happen. That I’d just grow more patient or more wise, but then I realized that He’ll give us opportunities to work on those things we’re praying for. Like, He’ll give us an opportunity to work on our patience or make a wise choice.

You do know you’re kinda dumb for believing in god right…. Like you really think some deity is perfect and created something that allowed for cancer, sa, ect….

Atheist here. Religion is an amazing thing for a lot of people, and I think a lot of people would be worse off- if not just dead- without it. Bashing others for the place they’ve chosen to seek hope is neither kind nor helpful. Especially on a post specifically made for and by someone explicitly stating religion is helping them.

Oh trust me I know it has systemic issues- I also think much of the world problems stem from religion, but those problems are not the fault of the individual and instead those with power and money organizing the religion in ways that (almost always) go against the teachings they should be upholding. You will not solve systemic issues by discouraging OP, who is clearly already set in their beliefs. Protest a Mega Church, don’t harass some rando on the internet whose shown no sign of being harmful

Thank you this makes a lot of sense. Like you can be late for the bus and pray to god for you to catch it. And you do catch the bus but you still have to run to it. Like god won’t magically give things to you but he will see the work you put in and give the opportunity to get the things that you pray for.
