Still trying to figure that out. I have a lot of acquaintances that I can talk to for a couple mins but not too many real friends

Did they unmask themselves or did you grow?

Honestly… it takes bravery. Opening up to people a little bit, see if they open up to you. Then opening up a lot.

My roommate, suite mates, and I became friends with two dudes just for going out in the middle of the night night and randomly asking what he was doing and then finding a common hobby and interest and the talking for three hours 🤷‍♀️it just randomly happens i guess

Lots of acquaintances, my NSO group also turned out to be toxic :( Honestly just be nice to people, say hi to them if you've seen them before, start up random conversations, if you click then great

Completely agree. It does unmask a lot. And yeah it’s pretty easy to attract really shirty people freshman year. Especially people who aren’t freshman. As a sophomore now you just got to take it slow. Get to know people before they know everything about you. I know that’s like hard in college but just watch yourself. Also might also be you growing. Not just them showing there true colors

I’m sorry to hear about your cat! But honestly, sometimes it’s about trial and error. I recently also lost all of my friends and can’t seem to find a way to make new ones, but with time I’m sure things will work itself out :)

Well I had to take my cat to the ER vet and no one was willing to drive me even tho I said I could pay them and also she ended up passing away (kidney failure) and now everyone is avoiding me 😃 so both maybe

omg i’m so sorry for your loss (both cat and “friends”); it’s good they finally showed their true colors but it’s awful that it had to happen this way. this is heartbreaking and i’m so sorry you’re going through this. losing cats is so rough

Realizing you meant friends from freshman year. That sucks. I’m so sorry. I can’t believe having nobody willing to drive to help you. The amount of times I’ve dropped everything for a friend. I just wish you luck. It also might be you just finally being able to see their colors. Not so much as them presenting. Cause you look past it at times in small moments
