Does anyone have advice on how to comfort their friend during grad school rejections?

I have no idea what the heck the person is trying to do🤣…. Here is some real advice . You know grad school is really hard in getting in is even harder, but they have to understand that they probably put as much effort as they could. They can always reapply after gaining a bit more experience or taking a gap year. I know it sucks rejections but a lot of the times is not just because you’re a bad student. It might be because they don’t think you’re a good fit for the school.

tell them "it's ok you'll get into one only stupid people don't get into any grad school"

I remember applying to one grad school and I was so excited and then I got rejected. But I found out that it was because the school couldn’t offer me what I was looking for and so they were doing me a favor by letting me choose other options. In the moment when I receive the rejection, I didn’t feel like that. It felt like I wasn’t good enough, but then I realized.
