There’s nothing wrong with being friendly. Sure, if you only talk to him because you’re into him, that’s different. But ideally you can hang out with both of them as a couple because you are friends with the couple and not the individual.

If he has a gf then leave him alone. If he likes you then he would leave her for you. But personally I wouldn't trust someone who would openly talk to ppl he knows has feelings for him while being in a relationship cuz that creates the possibility of him talking to others while being in a relationship with you.
