I’m convinced the majority of ppl in this generation have no idea what dress code terms actually mean. I had a charity gala event for an org I’m in last week and the invitation said “black tie/formal (wear blue).” Literally none of those are the same thing, like you people have no idea what you’re talking about and couldn’t do the bare minimum of checking before sending. They prob just mean wear a suit and don’t actually know that black tie means tux, but check by asking them directly in case
