 I really don’t like this pattern of fat celebs losing a LOT of weight and proceeding to demand better treatment from media because now they’re somehow more deserving of it? You were just as deserving of kindness before :( weight doesn’t change that

I’ve also noticed celebs dissing on their fatter selves with so much inhumanity after they’ve lost weight.. it’s so sad. And what message does that spread? :/

You’re so right tho. They drop weight then wanna go “hey look at me guys I’m cooler now you don’t gotta make me a punchline to fat jokes anymore man what a freak I used to be right?”

All that does is tell their audiences who used to feel validated knowing that there were big bodied people with successful careers that those people couldn’t give less of a damn about it. They saw a window of opportunity to change themselves to appeal to a wider audience and in the process forgot that their size wasn’t what made them successful

Exactly :( in the process they’re diminishing their own feats and talents to their size; it irks me because of the message they very well know they’re sending to the audience that used to relate to them
