i hate when a girl talks about being fat or makes a little joke or wtv and people are like “but youre so pretty”. like yeah, i know that. i called myself fat, not ugly. omg or when people comment stuff like “you look like you give great hugs” like what?

I don’t get why it’s so different with men and women talking about being fat. Like if I said that around my friends they’d go “yeah bro we know, you fat fuck” and ofc i laugh it off since most of us are bigger dudes anyways but with women they always act like it’s self deprecation and tell her “you’re so pretty omg”. Saying you’re fat which is a factual statement and observation is not a bad thing because you’re not saying it to demean yourself but stating a fact
