Just had to google if it’s illegal (or just highly frowned upon) to dig up a grave purely because of a joke I want a character to make and now I’m afraid I’m on some kind of watchlist

Aight it might be by US state (assuming this hypothetical story takes place in America. Idk much about Jason Todd relating to graves) but apparently even on private property it is a crime to dig up a grave and you have to get court approval

So now I’m imagining Jason hiring a lawyer and going to court and being like, “Your honor, this is my grave and I’m clearly alive. Can I dig it up?”

It looks like the law stands for graves as a whole regardless of who they belong to

it's not letting me respond to individual replies but another thing to consider is that he was in his own grave and was the one who dug it up (from within) 🤔 so how do zombies apply to that law
