Oh I would read this! And deer are known to eat random birds, so, maybe not a strictly vegan thing for those throwing that in. Ok, so both the deer and the woman in the same body: is the woman aware of this? Is the deer sentient? Or is it just a wild RUN NOW NO WAIT FREEZE NO GO BACK NO RUN WAIT FEEEZE type of situation?

I think a strong pull towards vegetation with definitely a freeze and fawn response, additionally anxiety around roads and just in general always looking over her shoulder

THIS but it’s unreliable narrator so you don’t know if the deer is actually the daughter or if the woman is just so haunted by the death of this deer that she’s projecting her guilt onto her daughter telltale heart style
