i started reading what that person posted and it seems they’re mad about spam and things created by bots being taken down

I just realized that they have this whole rant about AO3 censoring people yet they chose to moderate their comments, meaning they’re likely to censor anyone that doesn’t agree with them.

ao3 was started by wincest shippers wtv those authors were writing the mods probably don't gaf ngl, they probably just broke tos

Uhh I doubt it, wouldn’t be surprised if this was reported specifically because of the improper use of a fandom tag and rating

Ao3 is very anti-censorship and is known to be, all of the other sites this person lists has had incidents in the past of removing people’s work. It sounds to me like they have personal beef over a few specific instances and are riding off of like, the booktok-ification of ao3 where people are coming in not understanding how an archive works without an algorithm. But I’m too tired to really investigate so this is all just heresy

this is like entirely about non-fan works and posts considered spam being taken down they also said the default is only registered users can comment because people would ‘criticize the ao3 mods’ and that’s not true at all, i remember when they changed it they sent out an email about it and said it was due to a rise in bot comments

yeah, they were also saying that they ‘snuck it into the TOS’ and that ‘the TOS enables censorship’

i think it was also insane how they were saying ff.net was better in that regard as if there weren’t mass takedowns there that led to everyone moving to ao3 (or so i’ve heard)
