Anyone have any writing advice when it comes to dialogue…. Idk why but it’s perfect in my head but as soon as I go to write it down it sounds stupid

Try reading it aloud. Also, I found it helpful to try to imitate the conversation of the people around me and dialogue in the cannon media

Study the dialogue in canon and fanfics you really like! If it sounds awkward or boring in scene dialogue form, see if it can be better written as scene summary
