Always love doing this. I remember one fic I was working on had a roughly two-year run, and I started teasing something in the final chapter (not the epilogue) way back in chapter 11 or 12. I loved watching arguments break out in the comments over if it was deliberate or not.

Although I actually wonder how much reading those comments had an effect on the ending of the story, since I was deciding whether or not to kill off a rather important OC to the story. Ended up choosing to not do it, but came up with a different sacrifice instead that fit the tone better and made it less cliche.
