This ship is so popular countless fics have their own dedicated communities and even fanart and fanfics *of the fic*. And I can’t even get a single person interested in what I have to offer. I’m posting snippets and lore at least twice every week, if not more. I’m wondering if I should just trash it. No one cares if it exists or not. And it would just hurt more to put it out there and have radio silence, which is surely what will happen given the lack of reception just to the plot.
First bit of advice: scream. Like genuinely I get what you’re feeling, let yourself be a little crazy. Second bit of advice: man Idk if I knew that’d be crazy. Get yourself a side fandom that’s either small or dying and you’ll be their hero, I swear. The size of your fandom is screwing you over, not the quality of your work. I CARE!! IM PROUD IF YOJ FOR WRITING!!
I’m so hurt by how fic has become a consumerist popularity contest, and the little fish in the pond are seen as completely worthless to everyone. No one gives a shit about anything I’ve ever written or will write. I know writing fic isn’t *for* engagement, but the pain of seeing others get it and you get none is something I would not wish upon my worst enemy. I don’t know what to do anymore.
Unfortunately I will probably get the cops called on me by my neighbors if I scream, these walls are thin lol. I’m actually in a very niche dead fandom as well, they still don’t give a single fuck about the multiple fics I’ve written for that fandom. I honestly just think it’s me atp, I cant get traction to save my life. Thank for caring though, I really do appreciate it.
