Guys give me tips for actually writing as much as I want to

Write the chunk you want to write. Especially when you’re trying to post chapter by chapter you may get stuck on a scene you don’t know how to phrase but is necessary to write the next bits. Legit skip to the next bits. You can come back later, put a little “they did x and x and x” and then just move to the bit you actually want to write.

create character profiles and write out the scenes you want first

You don’t have to finish. I have a special document sent aside where I store all the short scenes and thoughts about characters I have that won’t make it into a fic You can say ‘he would not fucking say that’ but you can also say ‘what circumstances would be needed for him to say that?’ If you’re stuck on a scene, a) take a break b) backup and rewrite it or c)work backwards and start from where you want it so end If you wrote something and it doesn’t fic but you don’t want to delete all you r

Don’t look at the word count. No seriously, don’t look at the word count while ur writing. Pick a line of dialogue/action/imagery you want to write and then write the things that connect u to that snippet. Now look at the word count. Repeat 💖

Hard work, copy and paste it into another document!! I hate getting rid of my writing by that helps take away the hesitation for me
