I’m sorry, that really sucks. It’s been getting worse recently. I’ve also noticed that it’s worse for big fandoms. Tumblr is alright for community, but might also have spam bots. If it helps any, they’re probably ALL bots. There are bots now that specifically give hate comments. As a rule of thumb, if the comment is too general, assume it’s a bot

Try setting your stories to registered accounts only. Smaller reach, but everything will be legit

it helps a little to know that it was probably a bot but the giant paragraph of hate that i woke up to this morning took me out, it was so long and so mean 😭
