guys PLEASE 😭😭 a person using metaphors or the em dash is not a sign of AI, that’s just a person who knows how to write 🫩 AI is really obvious bc it’s very repetitive (every sentence) and makes NO sense, and the flow just… doesn’t exist!

i totally get that and yeah i understand that sometimes the examples have exceptions but idk, i feel like it’s really obvious. ive ran into authors on ao3 that have admitted to using chatgpt and character ai to write their fics and you can tell after like two chapters because every paragraph ends with “and honestly… that’s what he thought.”, every other sentence goes “it’s not the story, it’s the book.” and sometimes there’s a whole lot of nothing said in 20 paragraphs.

i’m not trying to discredit real authors, because i’m shit at writing myself, i know how hard it is, and i would NEVER throw around baseless accusations because that shit hurts i get it, but i was trying to show in my post that i feel like it’s really obvious how a machine speaks because despite everything it’s scraped from real authors, it lacks the depth and, the human like spirit that even bad writing has but it might not have come off that way im sorry
