Nah, as a reader I’ll figure it out by the 3rd sentence. I’ve seen some authors tag 2nd person for Undertale fics (because the game is in 2nd person and they’re trying to draw attention to that their fic is written in that pov) but otherwise nah.

Only if it’s a distinction between like 3rd limited/omniscient or if it’s specific 3rd person pronouns for an x Reader fic. POV doesn’t make or break my experience nor is that the case for anyone I know.

Should it be required? No. Is it very much appreciated for anything other than 3rd person? Absolutely
