Frankly, trying to guess where an authors regionalisms are from is a large amount of the fun of (many) fics for me. You’re good we love this for you

Be you! At least your southern-isms are in your blood. I was in a play and had to learn the mannerisms and accent for that and now months later I still slip into it randomly and confuse everyone around me. So many people are just baffled when I claim to be local to our tiny town and have a generational name but accidentally slip into a different regional accent all the time.

When I write any fic I now try to slide in at least one Southern character so they can say y'all and goodness me and bless your heart and all that jazz
