My favorite story I ever wrote started out as fanfiction, but then my original characters outgrew the canon and the story became a beast of its own

My story is basically: Main character is from World A (my world) but something happened and she was sent to World B (Elden Ring world) and then was later sent back to World A (my world). And the story picks up once she is in World A(my world) again. So World B(Elden Ring) is only mentioned when she talks about her past or has some sort of PTSD response. So it is a fanfic, but also not a fanfic lol.
