yeah it’s bizarre to me when people want to ignore a huge part of a character’s identity. personally i loveee when authors put in little details surrounding woc characters bc i feel very underrepresented in fics

Oh absolutely! I’m working on expanding my characters and practice writing characters of different backgrounds. But when I’ve read fics like that (to understand better) the comments are always so hostile. And also when making characters different religions when it was never stated is a problem??? But making them queer is just fine?
