i’ve noticed that ao3 commenters on fics published in the 2000s are absolutely brutal 😭

So true! 💔 So many of them are just people trying to rewrite the author’s fics instead of actual critique. I remember getting comments back in grade school from someone who didn’t like that I shipped my oc with a canon character because that was “bad” or something. Absolutely brutal back then 😂
