read a fic where out of nowhere the (very american) pov character used the word “trolley” instead of train and i 🤨 and then later when i mostly forgot. he used “candy floss” and i. ah. yeah. forgot.

here college is usually like a 1-2 year diploma or certification (e.g. trades) but university is a 4 year degree (bachelor’s)

university’s often are masters programs based on bachelors based. colleges are masters and community colleges are associates (2yrs)
