I think the main issue with that poster was the unnecessary speculation before ao3 had confirmed what was happening

I say let’s not use hope just yet, cyber security attacks have happened before, I have faith in the ao3 admins and mods working to get the site up and running again

Honestly I can deal with this kind of doom and gloom more so than the kind that was just focused on ao3. It feels less personal, because everything is terrible and I was already prepared for that.
