You have no idea, that lil chihuahua is holding the MIL together. When that dog dies get her a new dog right away. You think things are bad now, wait until there’s no dog. That elder pup is a secret ally, treat that dog like royalty.

They right tho… as bad as it is this dog is probably keeping her more civil than you can imagine. I would cover the couch in puppy pads.
