I hate when people talk about my dad. I believe in “it’s not worth dwelling on the past because we are living in the present and we have the future to worry about”. The man is dead and talking about him won’t fix anything so let’s move on.
I get talking about victims of murder or people whose deaths were a result of someone else’s actions but my dad died of health problems. He was going to die anyway. And talking about him won’t do any good but make us all depressed.

Everyone handles grief differently. Some people avoiding it feels better (though delays healing) and for others talking about memories (happy or sad ones) helps move the grief process forward
