I'VE BEEN SAYING THIS. "Blood is thicker than water" is only the FIRST HALF of the saying. It's meant to be followed by, "but blood of the covenant is thicker than water of the womb."

This is true but also every family is different. Me personally, my family would give the clothes off their backs if me or one of us was struggling, regardless of what they’re dealing with. But so would my friends too.

So many phrases are ruined by only saying half of them!! And theyre used to mean the exact OPPOSITE of what they meant to mean. Its also the case with “curiosity killed the cat”. The other half of the phrase is “but satisfaction brought it back”
