Had something similar. I came out as atheist a few years ago and my family said I was the dumbest person on planet earth and they could not believe someone who's working on multiple degrees could be so stupid.

I agree with #1. You are free to believe what you want and she doesn’t have the right to talk to you like that. As a daughter of a woman who is a hypocrite and lowkey psychotic, I know the struggle. She’s told me that I’m free to believe whatever religion I want yet when she found out I like shows like Hazbin Hotel, she assumed I was a devil worshipper

I think we are all glossing over the fact that she suggested to me and my brother that we get on weigh loss medication??!?!??!! She told both of us this separately, those words left her mouth TWICE!!!!
