I’ve felt the same way my whole life. My parents act like I’m crazy for feeling like they are happier when I’m not around meanwhile they’ve joked for years about sending me to go stay with family members all summer. Last month my mom said I should go stay with my aunt bc I haven’t been spending my money the way she wants me to(i’m 19, work a part time minimum wage student job on my college campus, and have no bills or monthly expenses)

I have an older brother who’s 22 and it feels like my mom puts 10x more pressure on me than she ever did him. She used to let him get away with so much shit but when I do the same it’s “you need to grow up” and “get your priorities straight”
