My cat has been missing for three days and my brother made the “joke” that she’s had a good run and I started crying. Apparently I’m the one who needs to start acting more mature. I just want her back

I second the litter box thing. My indoor cat once escaped and went missing for 3 months. I live in a rural area with lots of predators and thought for sure my cat was gone for good, but we set out the litter box and a live trap with a can of wet food. After like 3 months of my cat escaping my mom was out in the backyard with a flashlight calling for her (did this every night for the entire time) and my mom swore she saw the cat. Also, go to any animal shelter or humane society around and give them a picture of your cat with your contact information. If someone finds it they’re likely to take it there

If your cat has a microchip, go to your vet’s office and/or the website where you registered his microchip and report your cat as missing.

Im so very sorry but if you do what I mentioned above 👆🏻 you have the best chance of finding your cat.

cat was in the trap completely feral. We literally had to like re domesticate her, and to this day she is an indoor / outdoor cat. But if you have the ability to, i highly recommend the litter box thing and maybe even a worn shirt of yours to have your scent out there as well. I know it’s scary and very upsetting, but I think if you do this there’s a good chance you will get your cat back. Best of luck🤍
