The other day at work my manager told me I was one of the best drivers in the store, which honestly surprised me. My parents asked how my current job is going, so I told them what they said to me and they both went “are you sure they’re not lying to you.”

I am honestly surprised I’m considered one of the best I thought I would’ve been a lot worse than that. The only reason what my parents said bothers me so much is because if this was either of my brothers they would be celebrated and told how proud they are of them. But when it’s me they automatically tell me they’re lying to me to make me feel better.
