my 16 year old brother has been confiding in me about how much hates himself and it honestly just makes me sad because i can’t give him any advice because i hate myself just as much. i wish my parents were better parents

I hope it gets better. Lord knows I know how that feels like. My biggest advice for both of you is: give it ONE MORE DAY! And repeat it to yourself every day. Before you know it. Life will have sorted itself out for the better

I would tell both of you to stay strong and focus on success. Save every penny. Plan. Plan. Plan. Count down the days til you turn 18 and move out the day of. Work as soon as you can. Keep your money safe and go ahead and start researching apartments, section 8, and do good in school. If you have good grades and come from a low income family you have a great chance of getting a lot of scholarships to go to college paid for. I moved out the second I turned 18 and stuff like that is what helped me
