wtf? I never ever laughed. This wasn’t meant as a joke - my uncle is a cop. He’s right here next to me bc Christmas. This was predominately his response because I read it aloud to him. The only person who saw that with humor is you, weirdo. What DO you want a cop to do when they only have guns and tasers, not 7+ years of schooling??

People, even cops, mock the idea of a social worker coming out for mental health reasons, and when it’s violent, I get that, but when it’s a situation where no one is physically being harmed and they can visually assess this person is having a mental breakdown, it’s worth it.

I wasn’t laughing, I didn’t take this to mean the cop was LITERALLLY laughing (people use “laughing” when someone responds less than helpfully, too). If he laughed, he’s a dick, no question, but don’t put words in my mouth.

he was literally giggling at me because i guess i didn’t understand how the process works which was just completely unprofessional. we have called previously for other violent incidents to no avail. we’re just trying to get him involuntarily committed because he refuses to seek help and is a threat to our family.
