I am like you but I hope to raise kids who are not Like me and love to tell me everything. What should I do differently?

My mom asks too many questions and if I don’t give a specific enough answer she gets mad and it drives me nuts

I have one of each. I call my mom at any inconvenience but I have a once a week 15 minute phone call with my father and hope a joint takes away whatever damage he tries to cause.

I talk to mine maybe once a year unless there’s a death. it’s my dad typically, last time was 3 yrs between calls with my mom. They proved when I opened up that they didn’t want to hear anything so that’s the energy I give back now to protect my peace
