How did you pull that inference? No, the door should always stay open unless it’s occupied. Therefore, if it’s closed you can assume it’s occupied

We always keep the bathroom door closed, we have pets who we don’t want drinking toilet water (yes we closed the lid, they’re smart enough to get it open.)
