You know what freaking irritates me they keep on saying “let’s try for another one It’s gonna get better” like the first one wasn’t even good even the second one.

OK, but the bar is on the floor and I think it’s OK to acknowledge that the bar is on the floor. I mean, do you ever ask yourself why it’s so common? Why do our boys not learn how to clean? Why is Weaponized incompetence always an excuse? You can try again with a different man but it’s typically the same story except now you’re starting from square one trying to teach a man child.

its sad how common it is. patriarchy is a cancer. i hate to victim blame but unless the OP and the millions of women like her are in the process of leaving.... my empathy is gone. women continue dating these dudes. women continue marrying them. they continue reproducing with them. and then their sons mimic their fathers. and then their daughters get into the same relationships as their mothers. women, never settle. either stay single or only date exceptional men. period

never settle? this ain't the women's fault its the man. What if he leaves him he'll suddenly decide I'll clean the house now! No he'll live not well for a couple months then find a new women to use. This is on the man to pick up sIack. Even if the man does go for a while being single he can just get paper plates or use any other method to not do housework. Acting as if women have complete control over a *man's* behavoir. No they do not. A grown aduIt man should be in complete controI over his behavoir. If all women leave their lazy men the men will suddenly change to not be lazy. As if men in society are even taught to focus on romance as much as the other gender. As if bachelor's aren't seen as not as much of as a problem as unmarried women. Be so for real

u misunderstood my point. its not the womens fault, bc yes, men lie and wait to show their true selves. but im giving advice to avoid situations like this for OP & everyone reading. if women STAY after being mistreated? then they are allowing the manchild cycle to continue. point of leaving incompetent men ISNT to guilt trip them into acting right- u can't change grown ppl. we as women need to do better, stand on business & never settle. we should not hesitate to leave.

yeah but what about the women who can't leave? What about them in this scenario? This feels like victim blaming. In a perfect world where everyone is financially stable enough to leave and not indoctrinated into awful cuIture shifts like the recent trad wife movement. I agree women shouId Ieave in those situations but not all of them can or understand they are not problematic for leaving. If we shame women or even men can be in this situation too to never complain about what there and instead just say just leave then the ones who can't leave can't complain and the ones who've been indoctrinated can't complain and will continue to live in a horrible situation they can't leave due to ignorance.

OP did not say that was their situation. this is just whataboutism. if you want to make a real argument maybe read the context. i never said anything about victims being a problem. i simply posed a question about OP’s situation. when your spouse is just a lazy and avoidant person, that warrants some analysis.
