Same happen to me all the jobs have been taken by the baby boomers. I hope they die out like the dinosaurs they need to retire. And plus they bought their house for like 10 strawberry so they have enough.

Don’t you know, you have to go into the business and harass them? No go in person and go all the way up to the CEO you don’t need an appointment and say you’re a hard worker. No call them everyday! That’ll really help! - the shit our grandparents pulled to get a job would cause the rest of us to have restraining orders

Idk if you’re looking for advice or not, but look and see if there’s an Amazon warehouse near you. Also see if there’s Amazon driving positions open near your

FRRR, I finally got a serving job and since it’s only paying $5 an hour plus tips my parents are mad at me, and I need to find housing before January $25 or I have to pay close to $5000 for another semester

I went through two. TWO interviews for a job at Panera bread and got ghosted over the summer. But don't worry, they're still hiring. And the other day I saw them conducting interviews

you gotta go out of your way tho; connect with recruiters, fine tune your linkedin, reach out to connections, apply through multiple mediums, you literally have to do the most

Amazon is not a good company to work for and they’re supposed to be getting rid of some warehouses around here so idk if that’s genuinely a good option.

Drivers don’t work directly for Amazon Don’t know if that helps I’ve been at it for two years since I graduated, and there’s always openings for new drivers. And the $/hr is higher than minimum wage in every state

Just called somewhere and they said they were on a hiring freeze, the same reason why I lost my other job. Everywhere is in fact not hiring

To clarify: I was in a contracted position and it ended when the company was on a hiring freeze

My mom literally took me to (and made me) go into businesses and ask if they’re hiring. I told her if they were, it’d be online but she didn’t believe and we went anyways

'Hiring' most places hiring aren't actually gonna hire you. I got two interviews for a job and was ghosted but they're still doing hiring interviews. I have other friends who can attest the same for other jobs

Except they’re not 💀 they all complain about needing people but refuse to hire new people

Babe they are not always looking for new drivers Yours specifically might be but I applied and got an interview because of a friend that works as a driver but never got a response back because they simply are not busy enough to need more drivers which was mentioned in the interview Amazon flex is different they are their own program if that’s what you’re talking about

Don’t work there, the management is very ghetto and underpay and overwork their staff members it’s not worth it

i’m not talking shit or being defensive??? i said that im glad it worked for you but at times even if you put all the effort in that doesn’t always guarantee a job

and when did i say it would work for everyone? im giving advice that worked for me; just as much as it wont work for anyone else, it could work for a lot of people too.

i made my reply so that people who do all the things you did (and sometimes more) that still receive a rejection don’t feel discouraged because the job market sucks. it wasn’t an attack against you so i’m not sure how it got spun to be that way

default user profile icon
Anonymous replying to -> #14 3w

it’s spun that way because i’m giving advice, there’s no reason for anyone to comment or argue it; take it or leave it…. i think everyone whose in this position understand that won’t work for everyone but helps. Therefore, what’s the point of even saying anything? it’s my experience and it’s my advice. Genuinely no point in arguing with advice

i’m not arguing, i was just being reassuring to those who feel discouraged. there’s nothing wrong with a little written reassurance

acting like people don’t put effort in. and yet i’m the one that’s talking shit and being defensive when you started giving me attitude first. once again, glad you have a job, but constant rejection hurts like a bitch and a little reassurance goes a long way. if you’re offended by reassurance you have a problem. i’m not entertaining you anymore cause you clearly can’t be empathetic
