When I graduate, I will inevitably start making pretty good money. I’ve just a few credits left. And I’ve already started planning what I want to do with the money. I mentioned buying a luxury car, and my brother got so up in my face about it!

OP you are not crazy for wanting a luxury car just stupid. Use that brain that is earning you a paper to make a great life. No one starts a great life with a luxury car. Idgaf about the excuses (enjoyment, reliability, vanity)

It’s not hypocrisy, She’s not gatekeeping luxury cars because she wants to have a better car than you she actually gives a flip

Ngl Op you’re coming off a bit out of touch. There’s nothing wrong with wanting to save up for nice things but do make sure you’ve got your basics (and savings) covered FIRST. You never know what could happen. Sounds like she may be a few years older so her caution isn’t hypocritical. She may be speaking from experience. And so am I as someone who was making 6 figs and lost my job 9 months ago. If I’d jumped to luxuries instead of saving and living below my means I’d be fucked now.

It’s the hypocrisy for me! This conversation occurred in her car. IN HER BMW!

Ohh to add to the hypocrisy, her husband has TWO mustangs and a Honda.

His Honda is rusting because he only uses the mustangs
