Finished watching the 2017-2019 seasons after a couple months and here’s my takes: 1. Parity? What’s that? It was just Merc, Ferrari, and RB. Massive gap after that. 2. The battles is 100x better than the current era of cars. It’s almost sad…(1/2)

(Continued from 2) it’s almost sad that the battles are better considering that these current regulations were created make racing better. Only good that these new regulations have made is the field is much closer and there’s a more parity but the battles are very quick and dry 90% of the time. 3. Mercedes and Ferrari kept making critical mistakes behind the pit wall while Red Bull were nearly flawless. Ferrari just so (expectedly) made more significant mistakes.

4. Prime Danny ric. Especially the beginning of the 2018 season. After his monaco win, he was basically in championship contribution and both Vettel, Hamilton, and Daniel were tied on wins. Nobody would have known that it was downhill from there for his career. 5. Those 2017 broadcast graphics. So sexy. So sleek. So minimalistic but so beautiful. 🫦 6. No surprise why Charles was hyped up in 2018. He put that Sauber in places it shouldn’t have been while Ericcson was nowhere to be seen.

7. Those Vettel v Hamilton battles were so good. They knew how they raced and used it to their advantage. Like in 2018 Spa when Vettel copied Hamilton’s 2017 move on him. 8. I understand why people were suspicious of that Ferrari after the 2019 Summer break. They were nowhere and suddenly they were on top? hmm 9. Prime Hamilton. Jesus. He was quick. But his 2018 qualifying performances were immense. Singapore 2018 gets the praise but the Silverstone pole is one of Hamilton’s best imo

10. Even with how bad the dirt air on these new cars are, it’s not as bad as the dirty air from back then. I feel like cars these days are less likely to overheat their tyres and engine unlike back then if you were a half a second behind the car in front for more than 4 laps, your car begins to toast itself.
