The only people I’ve seen hating on Leclerc are completely clueless people with no actual knowledge of the sport.

I do ignore the hate videos but there is merit to a lot of the criticism that he is facing. Considering the lack of it from media.

That he’s only ever slightly outperformed his teammates. Take out Ferrari fuck ups, take out car flaws, take out media. He bottles more than Lando. He’s making rookie mistakes more now. He isn’t adapting well anymore. He’s too in his head. There is quite a bit more that can be talked about but my biggest thing is that if he doesn’t start getting his shit together we will have our next Danny, plain and simple.

That seems pretty emotional charged take and not supported by the actual stats. Even when you take out the bad luck he bottled the same amount as Lando. Slightly outperform is an exaggeration. Did you forget his performance in 24 and especially 25 putting that car on podiums when it shouldn’t be so the adaptation part is wrong too especially with his w2w battles this season you can see he’s still strong at overtaking. I recognize he needs better pressure management tho

“Emotionally charged” when the stats are also there to back it up and took then five minutes to find them and personal statements he’s made. Also that implies I don’t like him, which isn’t true. He is an amazing driver. He’s a good qualifier and yes he is good at overtakes. But when it comes to races and race results, he’s only 5-15% better than his teammates which is slightly better, 1-2 places or so every race with occasional 3. But besides Lewis, that’s always been the case.

Now that Lewis is here, in the beginning he was gaining around 0.3. Now a year later that is almost down to 0.1 and by silverstone I think they will be matched considering how much Lewis has gained since the start of the season and how fast. That in the long run will not be good for Charles mentally trying to get into world champion contention. Which yes where he needs better pressure management but he needs to work on his starts, understeers and oversteers and adapting.

Last bit. We are seeing it with Red Bull too, Charles has an ultra sensitive drive style like Max. He needs to learn to adapt a little bit to it not being as sensitive because that is where the majority of his personal problems with the cars lie. And his drive style can be attributed to some of the car failures. Once he learns and starts working on all of that, aka getting his shit together, then he will more than likely make it to the main championship battle.

You have quite literally described how it is for any top team pairs, ofc he would only be 1-2 places ahead that’s quite literally how it works for any team pair not in the midfield as they are separated by even closer margins. Thats like saying Max was only slightly overperforming Checo during 23. You’re oversimplifying things way too much on that part tbh. China and Canada are Hams favorite and Lecs weakests tracks he said himself Canada was his worst weekend yet it was 4th that’s still shows

we will see in Monaco if his mentality is truly messed with just from two races on his weakest tracks

It isn’t oversimplifying when looking within Ferrari (which is what I am looking at) and how long Charles has been there and the time he’s gotten to adapt to the cars. He should be ideally around 30%. Last year going into Monaco it was roughtly 15%. Today it’s 4.16%. As a TP, I’d be going 😬. He’s still making rookie mistakes with his steering (and some starts) on his good tracks. Also he would’ve had a great weekend at Canada if he didn’t fuck it into the wall cuz then it would mainly have been

A Ferrari strategy fuck up. Also idk why people think Monaco is a good track for Charles when his win is a complete outlier. It’s not a dig I’m just genuinely curious because from what I see he does just okay there.
