favoring lando means they screw piastri favoring oscar means they screw lando so screwing them both was the best option in their eyes. except screwing them both in order to be fair indirectly favors lando. this is where the two number one drivers ideology falls apart

Thus letting Piastri win while lando probably would have ended up probably around 5th or so.
