It wouldn’t have been too hard considering the track conditions. Especially at turn 15, could just say it was a miscalculation.

Telemetry exists bro. Race control isn’t dumb, they would’ve had the same thought you did and gone straight to his data and seen a “random” “error”

He nearly hit the wall at turn 15 on his final lap. Almost everyone did or almost did all session. So it really would’ve been possible for it to not be detected. Just 0.5 cm closer and the session would’ve been ended.
